Dual Authentication (DUO) Setup

Duo prompts you to enroll the first time you login to a protected application. Outlook via the web and Citrix are protected applications for the county. To get started with your setup, please login to Webmail (use the Door County home page>Employee Resources>Login to Webmail)

Step 1: Welcome Screen - Click Start Setup to begin enrolling your device


Step 2: Choose your authentication device type (WE USE MOBILE PHONE); Select Mobile phone as the type of device you would like to enroll and click continue.


Step 3: Enter your phone number - Select your country from the drop-down list (United States) and enter the phone number (starting with the Area Code). Double-check that you entered it correctly, check the box verifying the phone number entry and then click Continue.


Step 4: Choose Type - Choose your device's operating system and click Continue.


Step 5: Install Duo Mobile on your smartphone - Duo Mobile is an app that runs on your smartphone and helps you authenticate quickly and easily. Follow the platform-specific instruction on the screen to install Duo Mobile on your device. After installing the app, return to the enrollment window and click I have Duo Mobile installed.


Step 6: Activate Duo Mobile - Activating the app links it to your account so you can use it for authentication.


Step 7: On an iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone activate Duo Mobile by scanning the barcode with the app's built-in barcode scanner.


Note: The Continue button is clickable after you have successfully scanned the barcode.


Step 8: Name your account


Congratulations! Your device is ready to approve Duo push authentication requests. Click Send me a Push to give it a try. All you need to do is tap Approve on the Duo login request that is received on your phone.
